Photographing My Own Maternity Shoot
[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t was the beginning of a new year, I was newly pregnant and ready to stay on top of my blog posts. But then I quickly found out being pregnant is a lot of work! Boy, has it been a ride. I’ve had ups, I’ve had downs. That being said, I am almost there! With six weeks to go, I have been making preparations to welcome my baby girl, Evie Grace, into the world. I am fully nested, in a new home, and just waiting to meet this precious miracle!
Time has flown by me in the past 8 months, and I needed to make plans to take my maternity photos. As a woman and a photographer, I had a vision of what my maternity pictures would look like for some time. I made the crazy decision to take my own maternity photos! With the assistance of my amazing little sister, Emma, (who is beginning to show an interest in photography!), I set out to find a beautiful open field in the heart of 4s Ranch suburbia. I had been eyeing this field for some time, and decided the time had come to go on a short adventure, finding a perfect spot for the look we had been wanting. I am so grateful that my vision was brought to life! Here are some of my favorites from the shoot!
