A Desert Wedding Inspiration Editorial Shoot | Borrego Springs, CA
I’m so very excited to share some of my favorite images of this desert wedding inspiration shoot that I planned and photographed early this year. This editorial will always be near and dear to my heart, since it was the first shoot of mine that was published! You can see the publication over on Inspired By This. Here’s a little snippet about the shoot!
The vast, neutral landscape and golden light in the Anza Borrego desert made the perfect backdrop for this dusty blue and earthy springtime wedding inspiration shoot. Making sure not to take away too much from the stunning simplicity of the location, I decided to stick with neutral and pastel color palette. Amanda of Events By Condie created a whimsical bridal bouquet with white and toffee roses, light blue delphinium, and rich greenery, paired with a dusty blue silk ribbon from Tono & Co. I chose a stunning tulle and rhinestone embroidered dress from Lulus for the bride to wear, incorporating a little bit of glam and bling, while beautifully capturing the delicate desert breeze. The hair and makeup artist, Renee Rhoads, achieved a soft, romantic makeup look and hairstyle, creating a timeless look for our bride. Nicole of Studio Neex designed a custom minimalistic invitation suite with hand drawn natural elements. The soft hints of blue paired effortlessly with the distant blue-tinted mountains in the background. The images were taken on medium format film, and scanned by Goodman Film Lab.
