So much to say about this Balboa Park wedding ceremony and Herb & Wood reception. When this couple first reached out to me, they shared their love for film and black and white photography, so I knew immediately this was going to be a day that was special.

This couple had an intimate ceremony at a beautiful, unique courtyard in Balboa Park. I truly appreciated every part of this day and how they made it their own, from walking down the aisle together, to having different family members share poems and memories during the ceremony – it was such a breath of fresh air.

After the ceremony, we hopped on the San Diego Trolley Tour that transported us to Herb & Wood for their intimate cocktail hour and reception. With a live jazz band all evening, custom cocktails, to an exceptional multi-course dinner, this was the type of wedding day that was truly such a beautiful break from the typical wedding days that I photograph.

Every part of the day was so carefully curated to have such a classic, timeless aesthetic, and I am honored that I was asked to capture this Balboa Park wedding.
