Pastel Family Portraits at Moonlight Beach | Encinitas, CA

[dropcap]I[/dropcap] am so excited to share some highlights from this GORGEOUS family portrait sunrise session at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. I arrived at the beach as the sun began to rise, and I couldn’t believe my eyes as the sky became the most beautiful pink and purple cotton candy colors I have ever seen. Seriously, see the photo below. The photo is barely edited – the sky was actually that color! When the Carter/Brown family arrived, the sun was bright enough to begin photographing, and the sky was a perfect soft pastel color that looked so stunning juxtaposed with the color of their outfits. Dream colors!

We also pretty much had the whole beach to ourselves! Most San Diegans know that Moonlight Beach is an incredibly popular location, so being there essentially alone, was very special. It was 7:00 am and cold, yet these family members and little kiddos were serious troopers going barefoot in the freezing cold ocean. These photos have quickly become some of my favorite captures ever, and I hope you enjoy them too!
