I met up with Candra and Cody on one of the coldest days of the season to capture this special time in their lives, anticipating the birth of their first child. If you have followed my work for a while, you know that Coronado Beach is probably my favorite location in San Diego to photograph at. It’s one of the biggest beaches in the county, making it easy to avoid beach goers, has clean, almost white sand, and a variety of backdrops to use. Out of the countless times that I have been to this beach, I have dealt with overcast days only a handful of times, so seeing it quite literally in different light is always a nice challenge. However, because it was such a cold, dreary day, we felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves!
This sweet couple was visiting San Diego for their babymoon, something I HIGHLY recommend before welcoming a new baby – a special time away with your partner before it’s no longer just the two of you. Candra chose a stunning dress that tied in beautifully with the backdrop, making for the dreamiest photos! Narrowing down this session to just highlights was so hard, but please enjoy this Coronado maternity session!
