Sunstone Winery Editorial
When I saw that I had the opportunity to photograph at a dream venue with one of my photographer idols, I immediately knew I could not pass it up. Sunstone Winery and Villa has been on my list of venues to photograph at since I began my wedding photography journey.
Tucked in the golden hills of Santa Ynez, California, the Provence-inspired villa is constructed completely from materials and artifacts recovered from villages in France. It includes architectural details such as wood beams and roof tiles reclaimed from a 19th century lavender factory, and even the original door from Napoleon’s prison cell on the island of Elba. As soon as you step on the grounds, you are instantly transported to another time and place, which is what makes this venue so unique.
Photographing an editorial photoshoot isn’t something that I have a ton of background in compared to real weddings, however, this particular shoot was special because I was once again photographing alongside the amazing Julie Paisley. This editorial was thought up and designed by the talented Raela of RSVP Events. As you will see, the location, the dress, the flowers, and the couple speak for themselves. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience, and I hope you enjoy the highlights from this Sunstone Winery wedding editorial.
