A Woodsy Engagement Session | Idyllwild, CA
[dropcap]S[/dropcap]O excited to share these magical images from Kaity & Zach’s woodsy Idyllwild engagement session! I am definitely in my element when I photograph a beautiful couple out in nature. When Kaity mentioned that she would like to make the trip up to the mountains, I of course jumped on the opportunity! I also took advantage of escaping the city for a night and camped at the Mt. San Jacinto Campgrounds – it was my first time camping since I was pregnant with Evie! I have really missed being out in the wilderness!
What makes this session even more special, is that Idyllwild is where this sweet couple met over 5 years ago! We began our day at Camp Maranatha, where they met while they were camp counselors. Photographing the husband and wife-to-be at such a meaningful place makes my job and these images that much more special! You don’t have to be around the couple very long to see the pure admiration and love that they have for one another, which made photographing them a breeze! Kaity is a natural, classic beauty, and Zach is a natural model (seriously!) Kaity is also a photographer herself, so I found myself chatting with her about camera gear in the midst of posing and photographing them – sorry for my tangents! After an outfit change, we headed into the hiking areas of Idyllwild to catch the golden sunlight peaking through the forest. It was something out of a fairytale! This session is hands-down one of my favorites to date! I hope you enjoy some sneak peeks!
