A Romantic Hillside Sweetheart Session | Escondido, CA
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his sweetheart session has quickly become a favorite of mine! Growing up in Rancho Bernardo, I spent a lot of time hiking near and around Lake Hodges. Between hikes with friends and adventures around the lake, this area holds a lot of special memories for me. These ancient lands were once the stomping grounds of the Kumeyaay. I have always felt that this area possesses a certain sense of fairytale magic.
As Nik lead Lindsay on an adventure along this ancient Native American soil, I couldn’t help but imagine this romanticized depiction of a modern day Tarzan and Jane romance novel unfolding right before me. The beautiful landscape here is like a canvas that has been waiting for me to fill, and these sweethearts were the perfect muse for just that. The perfectly dreamy golden light we had for the photoshoot definitely made for some amazing portraits, but these two have a very special relationship. When you see them together, they just sort of glow. Nik and Lindsay are two kindred, care-free spirits that met at work. It has been a joy to watch their bond grow over the years, and it was an even greater joy for me to be a part of capturing these moments in time for them to cherish forever.
